Nyan Nyan Nyan

The 22nd of February is Neko no Hi (the day of cats) in Japan.

This is the 30th year celebration. It was in 1987 that the Japan Pet Food Association decided to make this day as a cats day. Why is this day significant? Well, this is 2/22 or 222 which is ni ni ni in Japanese.

Nyan nyan nyan is the sound that a cat makes in Japan just like the meow meow meow in English.

Social media will be trending with pictures of cats, cat-themed doughnuts, cat-shaped biscuits and plenty of kittens.
